Fly Fishing And Light-Tackle Angling with Captain Bach

World Class Fishing, Experienced Guiding, Wild Florida

Guided Fishing Trips for Anglers who want an unforgettable experience

Welcome to Captain Bach Charters, where Florida’s inshore and nearshore waters become a tactical playground for driven anglers. This isn’t a sightseeing cruise—it’s a hands-on, highly personalized fishing experience for those who want to target, stalk, and catch their quarry with purpose.

Operating out of New Smyrna Beach, Captain Hunter Bach offers private fishing charters for one or two anglers. These trips are built around you—your goals, your skill level, and the conditions of the day. Whether you're sight fishing, catching trout and redfish on live bait, or throwing flies to migrational tarpon, you'll get pro-level instruction and a serious shot at success.

Mosquito Lagoon

33,000 acres of flats and mangrove islands and home to world class redfish and speckled sea trout fishing, Mosquito Lagoon is a unique estuarine body of water amidst the largest section of undeveloped land along the east coast of Florida. Here you can chase some of the most sought after gamefish in the world in a truly pristine natural environment.

Migrational Tarpon

Beginning as early as May and often running through September, Tarpon season on the east coast of Florida is one of the most exciting fisheries in the world. Whether you are interested in fly fishing or spin fishing, Capt. Bach has put anglers of all experience levels on trophy-size tarpon. Most of the Tarpon weigh between 30 and 80 pounds, although it is not uncommon to tangle with a fish over 150 pounds. These dates go fast, so make sure to book well in advance!

“Captain Bach doesn’t waste time. We were on fish within the first hour, and his instruction was key to landing a 30+ inch red on fly. One of the most technical and satisfying trips I’ve taken.”
